- Dirt Road Dragons is our youth program for children ages 5 to 7 years old. Our curriculum (The DRD games) is based on teaching children basic self-defense techniques through high energy, engaging and fun games in a safe and corporative environment. They won’t even know they are learning self-defense because they will be having so much fun! They won’t be able to wait to get to the next class!
- This class will build your child’s self-confidence, give them a positive self-image, and will improve their mental health and overall fitness level.
- A major part of this class is our DRD Character Development Program where we help teach your child life skills. We spend 10-15 minutes each class focusing on one of our six-character development chapters. We spend two months on each chapter. Chapters include Wisdom, Fitness, Responsibility, Kindness, Peace, and Patience. We will set goals with your child and prizes will be awarded when your child shows progress is these character traits and when they meet their goals.
- To keep your child motived, they will receive promotions based on the number of classes that they complete. For every 20 classes they complete they will be promoted to the next rank. Once your child reaches 8 years old, they will graduate to the Dirt Road Destined Defenders program for ages 8 to 12 years old.
- The DRD self-defense system is based on Brazilian Jiu-jitsu which has been time tested as the best self-defense system to enable a smaller, weaker person to defeat a larger, stronger opponent using superior technique, leverage, and control.
- Try this class out for free! The first 4 classes are free, after which you and your child can decide if you want to register for ongoing classes. I am so confident in the value of the Dirt Road Dragons program that I guarantee you that your child will beg you to sign them up after the free trail period! Membership dues are payable up front and month to month.
